You’re right, this is not for the faint hearted. It’s all okay though because I have your back, I’ve done this before.

I must say the first time I captured a propsal I thought that everyone around me could here my heart beating let alone the poor chap.

How does it work?

It’s all a bit furtive on the run up to your proposal, this does highten the fun and when our plan comes together you’ll be extatic.

We decide upon a suitable time and location. Check tide times, sunsets or sunrise and the weather of course.

Locations

Newborough beach is excellent and so is Llanddwyn Island of course; famous for its connection with Saint Dwynwen the Welsh patron saint of lovers.

More recently I’ve used Rhosneigr beach and Rhoscolyn beach.

Sometimes it is difficult to cajole someone into a walk that is time sensitive.

You’ll have replayed this over and over in your head and I have faith in you and I totally understand if you don’t quite hit your deadline; you’re under quite some pressure.

I tell you what I’ll be wearing and I don’t hide the fact that I’m a photographer, I just pretend to be photographing the landscape, the seascape, the windsurfers, anything but you.

I do suggest you go down on one knee, we all understand this code don’t we. Also, visually it would look like you’re just having a chat. We want a brave gesture don’t we.

At some point you’ll stop hugging and I might come forward if you’ve forgotten all about me in the excitement.

I introduce myself, whilst applauding and suggest we use the next hour or so for a couple shoot.
