A wedding at The Quay Hotel and Spa in Deganwy was next in my diary. I seem to be spending time away from Anglesey this year. This year is full of firsts too, a groom in uniform! In July I met with Kayleigh and Iestyn (Ken) to shoot their pre-wed. We spent time in Menai Bridge one Sunday morning. A pre-wed session is a good opportunity to shake off any nerves. Preparations at home
Kylie used to work at The Salon. Naturally her hairdresser today was from The Salon. I cannot commend their work highly enough. I really put Kylie’s through its paces. I’d mapped my day out and I knew what I wanted to achieve. That included stopping along the North Wales coast (after the ceremony). I hadn’t thought the wind would be quite so high, boy did it blow. Actually, how Kylie and Ken didn’t tell me, in the politest manor, that they would not be getting out of their wedding car, I will never know. Troupers, the pair of them!
From Llanfair PG to The Quay hotel and Spa
The only thing we can’t control is the weather of course. We had a few showers on the day. I bet Kylie and Ken can’t remember though, they were unstoppable. I learnt a lesson about taking multiple balloons out in the wind. They will become entangled and it will take an awfully long time to untie them. Never again.
In the following images you’ll see the talents of Carol from Acacia Flowers, The Salon, Faces by Poppy, Kylie’s dress is from Wedding Belles and the entertainment came from Carly and Russ, who are delightful by the way. I’ll never forget Carly singing a Beatles song as Caroline walked towards Gruff. Oh all these special days. Wedding cars supplied by Go in Luxury Weddings cars and the videographer was Ben Powell. If you like the way I’ve told Kylie and Ken’s story let us talk about your wedding photography. You can contact me here.
